(a) How it works
Every cache runs the same loop. Pick one on the site, head to the ground, crack it and redeem. But the clue can show up as trivia, a picture, a riddle, or coordinates — and the payoff changes with the game you choose.

Head out. Sometimes the cache is sitting right there. Sometimes you earn it — show up to a location, snap a GPS-verified photo, and the site feeds you the next clue. Long games run this loop for days.
Open the cache, pull the code inside. Open trails: the code deactivates that trail so no one else walks up empty. Long games: a deactivation code plus a redemption code — because the weight wouldn't fit inside the geocache.
